All Candidates Meeting

This information meeting will highlight important aspects governing the Board of Governors and Senate campaign, including limitations, deadlines and other important information. This session will be jointly hosted by UVSS Elections and the University Secretary’s Office.

Board of Governors and Senate Debate

This moderated event will provide candidates with an opportunity to orate their views or to present their platform in person, to interested students in attendance – see important dates for the time, date and location of the event.

Board of Governors will have 3 minutes each to present their perspectives; Senate Candidates will have 2 minutes each. This will be followed by a brief, 10-15 minutes for Questions from the audience.

Board of Governors and Senate Election and Governing Rules

Please note that the elections process for Board of Governors and Senate is not identical to that which govern UVSS Elections. Please refer to the Rules to Govern Elections Board of Governors and Senate for complete details. It is incumbent on candidates to ensure that they read and fully understand the rules.

Board of Governors and Senate Campaign Guidelines

Please note that while there may be some overlap between the UVSS Electoral Policy and the Board of Governors and Senate Campaign Guidelines, they are two distinct election processes. Accordingly, it is incumbent on candidates to ensure that they have read and fully understood the rules which apply to the specific campaign they are running for.
