All remaining candidates for director-at-large positions on the University of Victoria Students’ Society have been acclaimed following three withdrawals from the competition. Initially, there were 14 candidates for the 11 director-at-large positions. UVSS Bylaw 6.9(e) states that if there are as many nominations as there are vacancies for director-at-large, those nominees are acclaimed and considered duly elected.
While the director-at-large position will no longer be on the ballot, there are many key decisions for voters to weigh in on including four referendum questions, five lead director positions, and one director of international student relations. University of Victoria undergraduates are encouraged to vote online from March 18 (9:00 am) to March 20 (3:00 pm). Ballot links will be sent directly to students’ emails.
