The nomination period for the 2025-26 UVSS board of directors and referendum proponents/opponents has now officially closed.
We want to extend a sincere thank you to everyone who put their name forward. Stepping into student leadership is a significant commitment, and we are thrilled to see so many students eager to shape the future of our campus.
The Verification Process
Our staff is now moving into the next phase of the election cycle. Over the coming days, we will be:

Reviewing Nomination Forms: Ensuring all submissions are complete and meet the requirements set out in the Electoral Policy.

Verifying Eligibility: Cross-referencing prospective candidates and their nominators against UVic student records to confirm current undergraduate status and membership in the UVSS.

Processing Candidates: Finalizing the list of those who will officially move forward to the campaign period.
When Will Candidate List Be Published?
Once all verifications are complete, we will release the official list of accepted candidates and referendum participants.
